47.07, the choice of local engagement
Tonnellerie Cadus’ new 100% Burgundy barrel is made completely from components crafted within a 130-km radius of the 4 Burgundy departments: Nièvre, Yonne, Côte d’Or and Saône-et-Loire. This is both a technical innovation and a symbolic step for the cooperage, which has already made sustainable development its mission for several years.
With this new 47.07 barrel, the cooperage offers a hand-crafted, sustainable product that meets the modern requirements of ecologically focused winemakers and winegrowers. The new model, made from Burgundy oak and galvanized hoops from Saône-et-Loire, is designed to help wine professionals improve their environmental goals. It guarantees local sourcing, barrel traceability and a reduced carbon footprint. And, as a finishing touch, the logo’s colors are hand painted with acrylic felt-tip pens by the Cadus artisan coopers themselves
